In coaching we use goals to focus attention and gauge progress. In today’s environment of extreme uncertainty and change, people are often hesitant to commit to goals, and this can get in the way of personal growth.  So I conducted a research study to see how a more fluid approach might help leaders grow in volatile, rapidly changing environments. In Evolving Learning Goal coaching, the goal is meant to evolve over time and the focus is learning something new rather than meeting a fixed target. The study explores how this approach can help leaders to reach their goals and grow personally during times of great uncertainty and change.
